I think Robert was calling the music "spook music," because that's what the establishment in England referred to it as. Much of it was illegal to purchase at the time. Clearly, he is smarter and older(wiser) enough to say what he means with a little nudge. Robert and the boys loved blues and regardless of what it was called or what they called it, they made a living glorifying it and paying homage to it. Rock on!
